H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, the emirate’s dedicated entity for culture and heritage, visited the annual Downtown Design, a key constituent of Dubai Design Week.

Held under the continued patronage of Sheikha Latifa for the past three years, Downtown Design is a flag-ship event that caters for the region’s design professionals, to discover original and high-quality design pieces from all over the world.

Sheikha Latifa said, "Downtown Design continues to support the creative roster of established and emerging talent across a range of product categories. By fostering the next generation of talent as well as being a vibrant platform that offers interaction and commercial opportunities for participants, the event provides a dynamic environment for buyers and brands to do business easily and efficiently.

"With Downtown Design, we’re at the forefront of positioning Dubai as a fast-emerging global design capital with inspirational exhibits and workshops to see and be a part of. It plays a pivotal role in providing a creative landscape for designers of all kinds. At Dubai Culture, we’re committed to building unique creative platforms that deliver a robust dialogue between influencers in the industry and aspiring talent, in a vibrant city that celebrates innovation, creativity and knowledge transfer," Sheikha Latifa added.

She toured several exhibits as part of Downtown Design, including six international Design Week displays from Mexico Design Week, Helsinki Design Week, San Francisco Design Week, Beijing Design Week, Istanbul Design Week and Melbourne Design Week.
