Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Yasser Atef hailed the efforts exerted by Egyptian expatriates in Kuwait for enhancing cooperation between the two countries and contributing to the development of their second home Kuwait and boosting at the same time the Egyptian economy.

In press statements on the fringe of a ceremony marking the October War anniversary, he said Egypt is exerting strenuous efforts for upgrading the national economy while handling several threats atop of which comes terrorism.

He referred to the economic reform plan in tandem with international financial associations, topped by the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.

Egypt seeks to lure more foreign investments in various domains, he added.

Terrorism threatens the world and Egypt is battling terrorism on several fronts, especially in North Sinai and the western borders with Libya, he said.

He noted that Egypt is coordinating efforts in this respect with Arab and other friendly countries to confront terrorism.
