French newspaper Le Monde delayed publication in Morocco

French newspaper Le Monde delayed publication in Morocco The Moroccan Minister of Information has denied claims he attempted to ban the circulation of French newspaper, Le Monde, in the country. In a recent article, the publication said Moroccan King Mohammed was no longer being as powerful as he was, after a convicted child rapist; Daniel Galvan Fina was given the royal pardon along with 47 other Spanish prisoners.
It accused the king of bowing to the demands of Spain’s King Juan Carlos, who requested the release of the convicts.
Following a massive public outcry, the king revoked the pardon, and Fina was re-arrested in Spain.
In a statement to Arabs Today, the minister said Tuesday’s publication was initially delayed, however this is now in shops, he said.
