Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is set to visit Egypt Sunday at an invitation by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. 

Abbas will visit here for consultation about Arab and international issues of mutual concern, said presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef on Saturday.

Sisi and Abbas will discuss the humanitarian, economic and security situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, Youssef noted. 

The meeting will also take up means to revive the Middle East peace process, he added.
