President of Sudan Meets Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs

President of Sudan Omer Al Bashir met Monday with HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to President Al Bashir, and his wishes of continued progress and development to the people of Sudan.
On his part, the Sudanese President entrusted HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs to convey his greetings to HH the Emir, and his wishes of continued progress and growth to the people of Qatar.
The meeting discussed the fraternal relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Sudan and ways of boosting them.
It also reviewed the outcome of the 4th meeting of the Darfur reconstruction and development council and the 12th meeting of the committee for following-up implementation of Doha document for peace in Darfur.
In a press statement after the meeting, Al Mahmoud said he congratulated Sudan's President on the outcomes of national dialogue, and briefed him on today's meetings in Khartoum in relation to reconstruction and development in Darfur and following up the implementation of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur..
Al Mahmoud said that the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out that he listened to Al Bashir's views on the progress of reconstruction and development in Darfur.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs informed the Sudanese President about the appreciation expressed by the participants of today's meetings to the progress achieved in different fields.
Al Mahmoud also praised the stance of Sudan to host refugees from South Sudan and Syria. He highlighted steps taken by Sudan, stressing that the stability of Sudan is part of the stability of the region and the world.
The meeting was attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Sudan Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi.
