Their Excellencies the Lebanese and Cuban Ambassadors to Qatar, Hassan Qassim Najem and Ernesto D Plasencia Escalante have paid a visit to the Katara Culture Village in order to support and strengthen the cultural cooperation between their countries and the State of Qatar.A press statement issued by Katara on Monday said that the two ambassadors expressed their respective impression with the aforesaid cultural foundation that works to build bridges of cultural communication , where the Lebanese Ambassador praised this great cultural edifice, which deserves to be emulated in the Arab world in order to promote inter-cultural work.In a similar address, the Cuban ambassador praised Katara as a cultural , distinctive and tourism edifice in Qatar ,stressing the importance of the opportunity he has obtained to know Katara and exchange ideas to realize the cultural cooperationFollowing his meeting with the two ambassadors , Dr. Khaled Al-Sulaiti, the Katara Director General said such meetings have created an openness to different peoples and discuss various ways of sharing knowledge, affirming Katara’s keenness to derive culture from all its sources, in addition to research and diversification in our events and activities.Meanwhile , discussions during the meeting between Dr. Al Sulaiti and Secretary General, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Bekele Geleta dealt with results of the partnership agreement signed between the two institutions last year.Katara and IFRC had signed a partnership agreement , through which Katara will provide revenues of events and activities that take place on the open theater to build human being culturally and intellectually.
