The number of foreigners coming to watch homegrown non-verbal performances in South Korea dropped sharply in 2013 from a year earlier due largely to a tumble in Japanese spectators, a tourism expert said Friday. Foreign spectators to Korean non-verbal performances came to 1.41 million last year, down 12.5 percent from the previous year, Park Yeong-jeong, a researcher of the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, said in a report.
