Egypt restored on Thursday 123 smuggled antiquities from the US in a ceremony held in Washington.

The restored items included a coffin and two wooden ships dating back to the 26th dynasty and the Middle Kingdom of Egypt respectively.

Egypt's Ambassador to the US Mohamed Tawfiq attended the ceremony, which was held in the National Geographic headquarters in Washington.
