Badr Abdel Aati

Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati slammed on Tuesday the systematic targeting of Iraq's cultural heritage by the terrorist Daesh group.
Abdel Aati called on the world countries to apply the UNESCO resolution of 2014 in favor of the maintenance of the Iraqi monuments.
He also stressed the importance of facing antiquities trafficking as per the UNESCO resolution of 1970.
Earlier, Daesh militants ransacked Mosul’s central museum, destroying artifacts that are thousands of years old.
