Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Ghassan Al-Zawawi here late in Wednesday discussed with Iraqi Minister of Justice Haidar Al-Zamly the efforts exerted to return Kuwaiti properties looted during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
In a statement to KUNA on Thursday, Al-Zawawi said that he held talks with Al-Zamly on a host of bilateral issues mainly the latest developments related to the looted Kuwait's properties dossier.
During the meeting, Al-Zawawi stressed Kuwait's support to Iraq in its fight against terrorism, welcoming at the same time signing bilateral cooperation agreements.
Iraq, he said, succeeded in breaking the ice with regional and Arab countries and building solid relations on the basis of mutual respect and serving peoples' interests.
Political and diplomatic opening with Arab countries guarantees restoring stability to the region and defeating terrorism, Al-Zamly's office said in a statement on Thursday.
Al-Zamly underlined the importance of cooperation and exchanging expertise between Iraq and Kuwait through signing deals, the statement added, noting that such opening aims at making a real partnership with the Arab and neighboring countries.
