Crude oil prices held above $108 per barrel Monday morning in New York On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate crude added 26 cents to $108.13 per barrel. Crude oil prices have rallied since early June when the price stood at about $92 per barrel. Political tension in Egypt sparked the rally, which held up as economic data indicated demand would remain strong. On Monday morning, reformulated blendstock gasoline shed 1.52 cents to $3.1082 per gallon. Home heating oil was at $3.1038 per gallon, up 1.44 cents. Natural gas lost 14.2 cents to $3.647 per million British thermal units. At the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline was unchanged from Sunday at $3.671, the AAA Fuel Gauge report said.
