RasGas nurtures mutual

In a bid to strengthen business ties with government agencies, RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) recently initiated a relationship building meeting with five key representatives from Qatar’s General Directorate of Civil Defence.

“RasGas is always seeking out new ways to enhance our mutual efforts to build a safe and secure community which is essential for business and the nation as a whole. We appreciate the role that Civil Defence personnel play and their ongoing efforts to ensure that we have a safe workplace,” said Jassim Al-Baker, Head of Logistics at RasGas.
The workshop which was hosted in RasGas’ West Bay headquarters included presentations from both parties explaining the business flow and the role each party respectively plays in facilitating a mutually-beneficial work relationship, said the Company in a press releasse on Monday.
“This workshop provided me and my team with very unique insights into RasGas’ business needs and areas in which we can support one another during our routine inspections, warehouse and store functions as well as safety systems and chemicals permissions. We look forward to reaping the benefits of such a workshop and would like to encourage other companies to host similar workshops,” said Colonel Ibrahim Abdulrahman Al Muftah, Director of Prevention Department in the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
RasGas plans on hosting similar workshops with other government Ministries and agencies to enhance mutual understanding.
