Price of the Kuwaiti crude oil went up by 52 cents to USD 107.74 per barrel (pb) on Wednesday compared to USD 107.22 pb last Monday, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said in a statement on Thursday. A major factor in rising oil prices on a global scale is the recent US jobs data, which add 155,000 new jobs last December. Another contributor is good economic data coming from China, with the expansion of transformational industries in the world second-largest energy consumer.
