The price of crude oil in New York slipped under $97 per barrel Tuesday with traders concerned over debt issues in Europe and a downturn in stock markets. West Texas Intermediate crude oil for June delivery shed $1.52 to reach $96.42 per barrel. Natural gas shed 4.1 cents to $2.295 per million British thermal units. Home heating oil lost 2.81 cents to $2.9533 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gave up 1.85 cents to $2.9556 per gallon. At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped from Monday\'s $3.777 per gallon to $3.763, AAA said.
