An annual QS global employer survey shows the employment market for Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduates to be a shelter in a time of economic turmoil. According to Nunzio Quacquarelli, director of the QS World MBA Tour, coming to the UAE next week, information shows MBA graduates are increasingly in demand in the global job market. This is despite the fact the Graduate Management Admissions Council\'s latest statistics report applications to MBA programmes have dropped this year. \"The economic crisis has created rising unemployment in many markets around the world, but companies are increasingly turning to MBA graduates as part of a solution to their problems,\" he said. \"They are looking to them to help internationalise their perspectives and acquire culturally sensitive skills.\" The QS World MBA tour is one of the largest series of business school events travelling around the world visiting 120 cities across 50 countries. It brings the expertise of over 400 business schools to locally interested candidates. The tour is now on its way through the Gulf region and will stop in the UAE next week. \"The UAE tour will bring 80 of the world\'s top international business schools to meet prospective MBA candidates and young professionals thinking about being internationally mobile,\" he said.
