Several children were suffocated when they ended up inhaling excessive tear gas early Wednesday after Israeli troops organised military drill near a school and a shrine, unmindful of the children's presence, in the city of Hebron.
The Principal of al-Ibrahimiyya school, Hasaan Emar, said in a statement today that the school was forced to shut down for the day after several tear gas canisters landed near the school. "We were surprised that Israeli soldiers were performing a military drill near the school and al-Ibrahimi shrine. Many students were suffocated and had to be rushed to the Alia public hospital," he said.
