Orange fully furnished and equipped the schools with 20 brand-new computers as well as connected them to high speed internet. Jerash Governor Mazen Al AbuidAllah emphasised the importance of corporate social responsibility collaboration between the private sector and local community institutions. Munjed Akroush, head of sales at Orange Jordan, stressed that Orange Jordan is committed to spreading the internet culture to all Jordanians, especially to those residing in the governorates. He also affirmed the company’s support to the education sector. He described establishing 500 computer labs across the Kingdom through the Orange Broadband Fund as one of the most important projects Orange is currently handling. The Orange Broadband Fund is one of the Kingdom’s largest corporate social programmes. Besides connecting 500 schools with internet, it aims to equip 12 knowledge units in the governorates. An additional goal is to provide incentives to register for internet service, without regard to their choice of provider.
