Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi opened, at Al-Noor Secondary Girls School, a workshop organised by the Bahrain National Commission for UNESCO under the theme of "The Bases of the success of the Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet)". Dr. Al Nuaimi toured the exhibition devoted to the achievements of the UNESCO-Associated schools, including class and extra-curricular activities aiming to promote UNESCO values among students. Then, he delivered a statement in which he lauded the on-going cooperation between the Education Ministry and UNESCO which represents a link between societies and schools around the world, which, he said, is in accordance with the ministry's mission aiming to consolidate the values of tolerance and co-existence. The Minister also praised the quality of the activities exhibited by the 30 UNESCO- Associated Schools, as well as the 10 private ones which have joined the ASPnet recently, expressing hope that the remaining schools will join in in the coming period. Then, he honoured outstanding schools and the Executive Coordinator at the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration Khalid Isa who was the main speaker at the workshop. On her part, ASPnet-Bahrain Chairwoman Kefaya Al-Anzoor said that the Bahrain National Commission for UNESCO aims to achieve a quality education for all through promoting the concepts of peace, freedom, justice and development among youths.
