South African satellite TV platform TopTV has added the African Movie Channel (AMC) to its premium offerings, bringing together quality content from Nollywood and across the continent. "It is a real coup for TopTV that we have secured a channel of the calibre of AMC for our platform. We are confident that our subscribers will find value in the broadcast and picture quality and enjoy the 24-hour entertainment on offer," Eddie Mbala, interim chief executive, TopTV. AMC holds a 1,000-strong library of African film titles, along with hundreds of hours of African soaps, series and dramas. The channel's content will now be available to TopTV's subscribers. "African Movie Channel is very excited to have entered into this partnership with a major player in the South African market, such as TopTV," added Lola Onigbogi, a founding director of AMC.
