A party to mark the start of free to air satellite broadcasts for the Disney Channel Turkey on 12 January has hosted 400 guests from the worlds of business and entertainment in Istanbul's Nişantaşı City shopping mall. With the production team of Disney Channel's first Turkish sitcom 'Zil Çalınca' (When the bell rings), the channel's young star Debby Ryan, and Mickey Mouse among the celebrities, party guests were treated to screenings of the Disney 3D film 'Beauty and the Beast' and its new sitcom 'Jessie'. "Our guests are very excited that that the [Disney] channel will start satellite broadcasting [in Turkey]. We are looking forward to seeing this excitement all around the country this year," said Sinan Ceylan, Walt Disney Company's regional director for Turkey, Greece and Cyprus. Debby Ryan, who stars in Jessie as well as Disney's 'The Suite Life on Deck', added: "The series 'Jessie' got very positive reactions. It is very exciting that millions of Turkish people will view my series when Disney Channel will start satellite broadcasting in the country." Disney Channel Turkey is aimed at children between the ages of two and 14, as well as their families. The high school series 'Wizards of Waverly Place', the 'Suite Life of Zack & Cody' and 'Lemonade Mouth' are among the programmes and films to be offered free to air from 12 January.
