The Syndicate of Journalists held Wednesday a memorial service for Al-Fajr newspaper's dead journalist el-Husseini Abu-Deif. Abu-Deif had sustained a gunshot to the head while filming clashes between President Mohamed Morsi's supporters and opponents outside the presidential palace on December 5. A number of political figures and journalists attended the service including former press syndicate chief Makram Mohammed Ahmed, Chief Editor of al-Fajr newspaper Adel Hammouda and columnist Abdullah el-Senawy. Salem Abu-Deif, the brother of the late al-Fajr reporter, attacked Muslim Brotherhood, holding the group responsible for Abu-Deif's death
