GCC Summit media exhibition

Information Affairs Authority is participating in the media exhibition concomitant with the 35th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Doha.
The media exhibition on December 7-11 was inaugurated by Qatar's Assistant Foreign Minister, Mohammad bin Abdulla Al-Rumaihi, in the presence of a number of GCC media officials, ambassadors, journalists and visitors.
IAA Media follow-up Director Maysa Al Thawadi highlighted in a statement the IAA participation in showcasing books and publications that reflect Bahrain's rich history and diverse culture as well as developmental and civilizational achievements.
Al Thawadi added that Bahrain's participation reflects the deep-rooted fraternal relations bonding the GCC countries and the importance of media cooperation in boosting Gulf citizenship, maintaining the Islamic and Arab identity of the Gulf countries and underlining the achievements accomplished in international forums.
Such special relations have also reinforced Gulf security and stability and enhanced the move towards the Gulf union.
She underscored the importance of unifying Gulf media strategies to accentuate Gulf cultural identity, bolster the values of tolerance and solidarity, and tackle calls for segregation, hatred and violence.
