Jaguar’s line-up for the Supercar Show and Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance at Salon Privé has been confirmed with the XKR-S, XK Special Edition, XJ Ultimate and XF Sportbrake. Taking place from the 5th to 7th of September at Syon Park, west London, Salon Privé 2012 is set to be bigger and better with more exhibitions and previews from the worlds of automotive, aviation, jewelry, marine, horology, technology and all things luxury lifestyle than ever before. Helping fly the flag for the best of British summer of 2012 will be Jaguar with a showcase of award-winning and world-renowned models from the Midlands-based manufacturer’s range. Leading the line-up will be the XKR-S convertible – capable of a top speed of 186mph and reaching 60mph in just 4.2 seconds, it is a worthy holder of the Sports Car of the Year title from German motoring magazine Auto Bild. Sitting alongside the XKR-S will be the discerning XK Special Edition, featuring enhancements to the coupé’s handcrafted cabin with Jaguar design team-specified interiors and some discreet exterior modifications including new wheels and colours. The XJ Ultimate, fresh from a recent world debut in Beijing, represents the pinnacle of luxurious, innovative Jaguar experience with heightened-levels of opulence for rear seat passengers. Enhancements include two individually tailored rear seats trimmed in semi-aniline fine Scottish leather, featuring power adjustment and recline, massage function and climate controls. A rear business table, machined from solid aluminium with piano black trim also powers into position in the rear at the touch of a button – complete with bespoke champagne flutes for the contents of the chilled drinks cabinet. Bespoke LED lighting, iPads with keyboards, a 15-channel 20-speaker sound system from Meridian, twin headrest-mounted screens and wireless earphones complete the XJ Ultimate rear passenger experience. Completing the Jaguar line up for Salon Privé 2012 is the new XF Sportbrake – the most versatile derivative of the XF range. Representing a compelling combination of elegance and capability, both practical and dynamic, the XF Sportbrake extends Jaguar’s design leadership in a new direction to create a desirable, premium estate. Some exquisite vintage Jaguar models will also join Salon Privé’s inaugural 21-mile Tour d’Elégance from The Royal Automobile Club’s Woodcote Park in Epsom to Syon House in West London, opening the Supercar Show & Concours d’Elégance on Wednesday 5th September.
