Ferrari have introduced the replacement for the 599 at the Geneva Motor show, the beautifully styled  F12 Berlinetta.  This new Ferrari takes the best of two of Ferrari’s best twelve-cylinder lines, combining the excitement of the old mid/rear-engined Testarossa and the power and predictability of the mid/front-engined 599. The results are a breathtaking 730 hp generated from its 6.3 litre V12 and acceleration figures of 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds (the same as a McLaren MP4-12C) and 0-200km/h in 8.5 seconds making this the fastest ever road car produced by Ferrari.   Managing the distribution of power to the rear wheels is a seven-speed dual clutch transmission specifically developed for this car. Underneath the car\'s aggressive bodywork, the F12 rides on an aluminum spaceframe, which is 20 percent more rigid than its predecessor. The car also features carbon ceramic brakes, an electronically locking differential and magnetorheological dampers. Good new for petrol heads is that Ferrari are declaring the F12, the vanguard of a new generation of Ferrari V12 powertrains.
