Subaru of America Inc. sales rose 30.1 percent in October from a year earlier, leading gains in the U.S. market, Autodata Inc. said Thursday. Subaru sold 26,119 vehicles in the October, including 18,891 cars and 7,229 light trucks, the monthly report showed. With Ford Motor Co. and Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc., among those not included in the monthly report, Autodata said sales rose 19.8 percent at Volkswagen Group of America Inc and 14.3 percent at Volvo Cars North America. Among domestic brands, sales at Chrysler rose 10.2 percent over October 2011, while sales at General Motors Co. rose 4.7 percent. Chrysler sold 126,185 cars and light trucks in the U.S. market in October, while GM sold 195,764 vehicles, the most of any of the companies with data included in the report.
