Prestige brand Infiniti has officially revealed its three dealers for the mainland capitals on the east coast — with plans already in place for two more dealers in Perth and Adelaide. “Announcing our first Australian retail partners today is another exciting milestone,” said Kevin Snell, General Manager of Infiniti Cars Australia. “I’m delighted that three of Australia’s highest-calibre automotive retail groups have chosen to partner with Infiniti on this exciting journey.” Suttons Motors Group will support the brand in Sydney. Described by Infiniti as "Australia’s largest family-owned automotive dealer group", Suttons is already establishing a new retail outlet in inner Sydney. Penfolds will sell Infiniti in Melbourne and is readying a "boutique showroom" for the brand. Already a franchise dealer for another prestige brand (Audi), Penfolds has 50 years of automotive sales experience, according to Infiniti. The first appointment made was A. P. Eagers, the company that will represent Infiniti in Brisbane. 2900 staff are employed by A. P. Eagers and the group operates nearly 100 dealerships around the country. The first three dealerships (and the Perth and Adelaide dealers to follow next year) are to be stand-alone facilities that will sport the same corporate look, which has been created by Graphos Architects in Melbourne. Steering away from the traditional car dealership design model, the Infiniti facilities are intended to resemble luxury hotels. Snell says that the Infiniti dealerships will embody the brand's own vision of customer service, which the company refers to as 'Total Ownership Experience'. When the brand launches its retail operations in August, the first products to reach the market will be the FX crossover SUV and the M series sedan. As reported by motoring.com.au previously, the G37 Convertible and Coupe will follow, in December.
