This unique Grand Tourisimo Zagato “GTZ” is simply stunning, and available for purchase.Few Ferraris have been clothed by Zagato over the years, with the Milanese coachbuilder concentrating on show cars and one-off specials. A prime example is this 575 GTZ Zagato commissioned by a prominent Japanese collector in 2005 to celebrate the model\'s 50th anniversary. The Ferrari 575M Maranello was used as the base for the project, and Ferrari were consulted early on in the car\'s development, granting Zagato permission to place Ferrari badges and logos on the car.Completely stripped, the Maranello was fitted with a brand new body and a lavish leather interior. The new coachwork was constructed completely from aluminum and features design cues from the five 250GT Zagato Coupes built in the late fifties, including the trademark \'double bubble\' roof, prominent front & rear fenders and the big grille.Upon its introduction at the Concorso d\'Eleganza Villa d\'Este in 2006, it was clear the car was not going to be a one-off and another five examples were built. Each was constructed to custom order and featured individualized exteriors and interiors.Only the first and second models incorporated Zagato\'s fully encompassing styling efforts and his example is the second of the six built, and the only model to be finished in black with a contrasting green interior. This is also the only model to ever be offered for private purchase and no other examples will ever be built again. Rumored to originally cost in the region of 1.5 million Euros, a vast sum of money will be needed to secure what is one of the original next-generation custom Ferraris.
