European Central Bank

The European Central Bank will hold a telephone conference call starting at 1600 GMT to discuss whether to keep an emergency liquidity lifeline open to Greek banks, several eurozone central bank sources said on Monday.

According to three different sources, the ECB's decision-making governing council will discuss whether to continue to provide financing to Greek banks via the Emergency Liquidity Assistance facility, following the resounding 'No' vote against austerity measures in the Greek referendum on Sunday.
