Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday that a long-sought deal to curtail Iran's nuclear programme was "within reach".

Speaking after meeting his US counterpart John Kerry, the Russian minister said: "The situation at the talks is progressing in a positive direction. There remain questions, mostly regarding procedural issues rather than technical. We have all reason to believe that results are within reach."
