Israel to send hundreds more troops to West Bank after Tel Aviv attack

Israel's military will deploy hundreds more troops to the occupied West Bank following an attack in Tel Aviv that saw two Palestinians open fire at a cafe, killing four people, the army said Thursday.

"In accordance with situation assessments, the Judea and Samaria (West Bank) Division will be reinforced by two additional battalions," Israel's military said in a statement.

The army declined to provide details on numbers of troops, but battalions are usually made up of several hundred soldiers.
