Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday used a speech at the United Nations to call for immediate direct peace talks with the Palestinians to resolve their decades-long conflict.

"I am prepared to immediately, immediately resume direct peace negotiations with the Palestinians without any preconditions whatsoever," he said.
