Spokesman Stephane Le Foll

France "trusts" the German government to take all necessary decisions following claims that its intelligence services spied on France, spokesman Stephane Le Foll said on Wednesday.

"The Franco-German friendship will overcome ... this news, which has still to be confirmed," said Le Foll, referring to last week's press reports claiming German intelligence services spied on top French officials and the European Commission on behalf of the American spy agency NSA.
