China cruise ship sinking

A total of 331 people have been confirmed dead after rescuers lifted the body of a Chinese cruise ship that capsized on the Yangtze river, state media reported Saturday.

Authorities gave the new death toll as of 08:00 am (0000 GMT) Saturday, Xinhua said, in what looks likely to be China's worst shipping disaster in nearly 70 years. Only 14 people have been rescued out of the 456 on board when the ship went down on Monday.
