Croatia's parliament late Friday approved a new conservative government led by Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic, a pharmaceuticals executive and political novice.

A total of 83 deputies of those present in the 151-seat parliament approved the non-partisan premier and his 22 other cabinet members, who are faced with tackling meagre economic growth and a record refugee influx in the EU's newest member.
