Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in the United States on Tuesday for a visit that will begin with meetings to woo big business before a full state welcome at the White House later in the week.

Xi arrived in the West Coast city of Seattle, where he was to deliver a keynote speech to state and corporate power players later in the day. The Chinese leader then heads to Washington for Friday talks with US President Barack Obama.
