Shooting on Amsterdam-Paris train

An armed man injured three people on a train between Amsterdam and Paris before being overpowered by passengers, a spokesman for French state rail company SNCF said.

The incident happened near Arras in northern France shortly after 1600 GMT and the assailant was arrested when the train stopped at the town's station, an SNCF spokesman told AFP, without specifying the nature of the attack although reports said it was a shooting.
