Singer Asala Nasri

The Syrian singer Asala Nasri, stressed she does not know the hatred speech, announcing her solidarity with the artist George Wassouf, who was attacked by the Egyptian journalism.

"Maybe we disagree in our opinions, but tacitly Wassouf is a great artist, and one of my late father's friends, and I have to stand with him, while retaining my great affection with the Egyptian press, stressing that she felt very sad when she learnt that he faced this crisis in Egypt," Nasri said.

Nasri explained, in exclusive statements with Arabs Today, that her political opinions derive from freedom of expression, adding that what matters her is only the interest of Syria.

"Perhaps I paid the price for my opinions, Because I wanted not to remain silent, and as an act of demons, so I spoke with courage and defended my convictions and who I respect who disagreed with me," she stated.
