Syrian regime, opposition clash in Latakia

Clashes renewed in Latakia countryside between armed Syrian opposition and Syrian regime forces and their loyal militias.
Eighteen regime and militias members were killed in the Kurd Mountains area of Latakia countryside after a failed storming bid, Sky News Arabia TV quoted opposition sources as saying.
The Free Syrian Army and armed opposition factions deterred a wide-scale offensive by the regime forces and their supporting militias in the Aleppo cities of Sheikh Najjar and Handarat and inflicted heavy losses in their ranks.
In Homs, random mortar shells left civilian victims in the western neighborhood of Al Waer.
