Geneva - Arab Today

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) has suspended all work in Aleppo province for three days in protest at the attack on an aid convoy, according to ABC News.

A joint statement with the Red Cross said it was "outraged by the horrific attack" on the aid convoy and a SARC warehouse.

It said the attack killed 20 civilians including SARC's Urem al-Kubra head Omar Barakat and a number of truck drivers and other workers as they unloaded trucks carrying humanitarian aid.

"Today, the Red Cross and Red Crescent is in mourning," said Tadateru Konoé, the President of the International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent Societies. "We are not part of this conflict."
