SANA: Syrian army kills scores of Daesh members in Deir Ezzor

Syrian army units killed tens of Deash terrorists in the course of operations in different areas in Deir Ezzor province over the past 24 hours, the Syrian state-run news agency (SANA) reported.

According to the report, there were fierce clashes between the army units and terrorist groups that attacked military posts in the neighborhoods of al-Huweiqeh, al-Rushdiyeh, al-Muwazafin and al-Maqaber in Deir Ezzor city.

They launched attacks in the surroundings of the military airport, al-Rawad hill, Um Abboud hill and the Panorama area in the countryside, the report added.

The forces managed to foil attacks, the report added, stressing that large numbers of Daesh terrorists were killed or injured and their weapons were destroyed.
