Dozens of Syrian opposition militants arrive in Idlib

Dozens of Syrian opposition militants arrived in Idlib on Friday after being deported from al Hama and Qudsia towns in Rif Dimashq.

Under an agreement between the regime and opposition groups, militants will be deported to opposition-held Idlib, Sky News channel said. 

Up to 14 buses left al Hama and Qudsia carrying fighters with their families, raising the total number of the deportees to about 2,600 in two days.

Two delegations from the Syrian regime and the armed groups controlling the two towns had agreed to deport opposition militants to Idlib in northern Syria under the supervision of the Syrian Red Crescent on condition of handing over their heavy and medium weapons before leaving al Hama and Qudsia.
