Assad forces control 90% of Aleppo

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the Assad forces are now in control of 90% of rebel-held areas in Aleppo.
In a statement on Monday, the observatory said the Syrian regime forces controlled el Sheikh Saeed el Kabir neighborhood after fierce clashes with armed groups.
Aleppo, once Syria's commercial powerhouse, has been largely divided since 2012 between a rebel-held east and a government-controlled west, and has suffered some of the war's worst violence. The government has in recent weeks, with Russian air support, launched a huge offensive to retake the entire city.
