More than 500 dead in fierce Aleppo clashes
London - Arab Today

As many as 305 people were killed and injured in Aleppo clashes, so far, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Sunday.

More than 38 civilians, 17 of opposition factions and dozens of regime forces were killed, SOHR said, adding that some 250 were injured as well.

Clashes took place in al Hamdaniya district and Assad Military Academy surroundings as well as in the outskirts of Aleppo, the observatory noted.

It further said that regime forces continued shelling rebel-held sites to stop opposition advance and successive attacks.

Earlier the day, Syrian News Agency SANA said that two people, including a child were killed and six more injured on Sunday when rockets hit residential neighborhoods in Aleppo.

Sunday's bombardment inflicted heavy damage on the homes and properties of citizens.
