A twin blast hit Miqdadiyah area in the northeastern Iraqi province of Diyala on Monday, leaving 20 people dead and 40 others injured.
A booby-trapped car and a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt targeted a popular cafe in central Miqdadiyah, the Interior Ministry spokesman said.
This is the third bloody attack in Iraq today.
Earlier this night, a booby-trapped car went off in southeastern Baghdad, killing a civilian and injuring five others.
Another suicide attack on a trade center in New Baghdad area left five other civilians, including a child, dead and 14 others injured.
