Iraqi forces repel ISIL attack in Salahuddin Province

Iraqi security forces on Sunday repelled an attack by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorists on Shurqat district of Salahuddin province, and killed eleven of them.
"The security forces, supported by tribesmen, repelled an attack of the ISIL in Shurqat district" of Northern Tikrit, a security official in Salahuddin Operations Command said.
"The clashes between the security forces and the ISIL terrorists resulted in killing 11 ISIL elements."
