Iraq, US mull anti-terror cooperation

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari met visiting US Assistant Secretary of State Brett Makourk here on Thursday on bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral security cooperation in general and anti-terrorism efforts in particular, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. They also reviewed the latest security and humanitarian situation in Anbar Province and governmental fight against al-Qaeda organization, it added Both sides further reviewed Iraqi and UN diplomatic efforts for a UNSC resolution supporting the Iraqi government's anti-terrorism efforts, the ministry pointed out.
