The Iraqi counter-terrorism forces on Saturday took control of Arpachiyah area and 2nd Qadisiyah neighborhood in Mosul and killed dozens of the terrorist Daesh group.

General Abdel Amir Rashid, commander of the army's Nineveh Operations, made the remarks, saying the Iraqi forces destroyed nine booby-trapped vehicles in cooperation with the air forces.

The operation is advancing into the neighborhood of Aden, the commander said.

In the meantime, around 30 terrorists were killed in attacks on three sites where a car bomb was destroyed, he said.
