As many as 72 Daesh militants were killed in different parts of Iraq amid airstrikes launched by the US-led alliance and the Iraqi air forces, the Iraqi Defense Ministry said Friday.

The Iraqi air forces precisely targeted a site of Daesh in Kirkuk during a meeting with foreign leaders of the terrorist group.

The strike destroyed Daesh's media building, the ministry said, confirming the death of 30 militants.

The statement added that the Iraqi fighter jets launched 53 raids in Baiji, killing 20 militants.

Meantime, 22 Daesh militants were killed in US-led airstrikes in Ramadi, Kirkuk, and Nineveh.
