Baghdad - MENA

Iraqi forces killed six Daesh militants in military operations in the city of Al-Ramadi, west of Iraq.

Iraqi army operations chief Qassem al Mohammady said the Iraqi forces backed by Popular Mobilization Forces managed to kill the militants and destroy several vehicles belonged to the terrorists in the area.

At least 1,466 Iraqis were killed by armed conflict in June, up more than 40 percent from the previous month as security forces suffered mounting casualties battling Daesh militants, according to UN figures released last week.
