Eighteen people were killed, and many others wounded in a series of blasts that hit parts of the Iraqi capital city on Wednesday.
Twin car bombs killed seven people and injured 25 others in the eastern district of Baghdad, a police source told KUNA.
Other six people were killed and 20 wounded in anther double car bombing in Sadr City, southeast Baghdad, while a fifth similar explosion claimed the lives of five and left 12 injured in New Baghdad area.
No claim of responsibility has been reported but the source said the blasts bore the stamp of the terrorist Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
